Fort Polk

 

The nation’s fifth largest military installation, Ft. Polk is the cornerstone of this west central part of Louisiana. It began as Camp Polk in the early 1940s, but has evolved into one of the U.S. Army’s most modern facilities. It now serves as home to the Army’s Joint Readiness Training Center.
